This beer is traditional to the stout-style, while not as dry or charred in flavor as some, it is also not as pronounced in the caramel-chocolate flavor as others. The aroma is all black malt and roasted barley, the bitterness is a combination of roasted malts and hops. Alcohol is moderate and there is only the slightest hint of espresso-like sweetness.
I don't go anywhere else for my home brewing needs...very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. Great selection of Grain, Hops and Adjuncts. The yeast selection is good, you should be able to find something close to what you are looking for if he doesn't have the exact strain. If I could give this place 6 stars I would, I wish more places had customer service like this!
You can't go wrong with the professionalism an knowledge. The ability to provide a valuable service is second to none. They can design recipes, provide instruction and help troubleshoot and issues with the art of craft wine and beer making. Don't bother dealing with the pompous folks in Spokane
I have been out of the loop in homebrewing as I was off the wagon for a few years, now that I'm back in the brewing hobby--I've returned to the reliable, respectable home brew supply house in the northwest. If anyone says this brew shop doesnt have enough ingreidants? Thats nonsense, the grain selection is impressive as well as the hop and yeast supply...They also have bulk DME in 3 types, liquid LME in 3 types and anything else you've ever wanted to add into a tasty brew. Dont judge a book by its cover, this shop may look sparc as its spacious and like any respectable home brew shop, the walls are void of any design, decor or art...
